Great Commission Fellowship

Fulfilling the Great Commission through a new generation.

Values

These are some of the things we value...

Journey

Life is a complicated tapestry of joy and pain, fulfilling many moments and disappointing in others.  We believe that all of us are on a journey of sorts.  At some point along the paths we travel, we begin asking some questions:  Why am I here?  Where am I going?  Which route is best?

At this point in life, a search begins for meaning, purpose, significance, and acceptance.  At its core, this search is spiritual; at this intersection a person can be open to a real encounter with God.  We strive to provide an environment where every individual can experience God and find out what he wants for their life.

Authenticity

Life today is full of fakes.  People wear masks, and the institutions we trust let us down.  The church itself can be filled with people who are full of themselves.  Many have forgotten that the church was intended to a unique agent of change within culture – set apart as a place of real life in the midst of a dying world.

Jesus modeled this kind of life and by his words and actions He calls us to live life on the edge of a new kind of kingdom – where people are real, forgiveness is available, and right-living is not an empty promise.  GCF seeks to enable individuals to live as authentic, real people – a community with no hidden agendas.

Transformation

Often we come to points in our lives where things just don’t make sense.  We intensely wish we could undo certain decisions in order to change our current course.  After experiencing disappointment and failure, or even in the midst of having the world “by the tail,” we sometimes face a nagging question:  “Is this all there is?”

Jesus said, “I am the way.”  Developing an active life as His follower gives us spacious room to experience the very best things in life – the type of life God had always intended for us – real joy, substantial peace, recognizable hope and unconditional love.  GCF is all about helping people connect to the God who is all about changing everything.

Community

Humans don’t do well alone.  We crave the warmth of knowing others and truly being known.  Intimacy and community are spoken of often, but rarely achieved?

God’s dream is that humans live intimately connected with Him and with one another.  His design is not only best for us, but also allows us to experience the best life has to offer.  At GCF, we understand community as “doing life together.”  It’s how God is forming us into a genuine community!
